Dynasty Forge

Founded in 2003, Dynasty Forge produces only high-quality Japanese style blades for collectors and practitioners of the sword arts. Our master smiths have over 20 years of experience in traditional Japanese blade-making techniques and lead a team of over 15 craftsmen, each specializing in their respective arts ranging from Saya carving to sword polishing. Our forge is located in China and each blade is inspected by our head smith to ensure only the best leaves our workshops.

Dynasty Forge creates a diverse line of Japanese style weaponry, all hand-made and finished to the same high-standard of excellence. We pride ourselves in forging our blades in the traditional process in both 1095 high-carbon steel and Tamahagane. Please see the forging process for more details.

The Dynasty Forge Katana is a full-bodied Katana that features a robust profile ideal for Tameshigiri. Based on traditional specifications, this blade is extremely resilient to lateral stress. The edge profile makes the blade more tolerant of inaccurate cutting angles and very resistant to chipping. As such, this blade is ideally suited for cutting of hard targets.
